Citi has released a research report predicting the A-share market to see potential incremental capital inflows of over RMB1 trillion. In the broker's expectation, inflows from mutual funds will exceed RMB620 billion, given that mutual funds held around RMB6.2 trillion in A-shares as of the end of FY24 and they must achieve a growth of at least 10% annually over the next three years according to regulatory requirements. Citi believed that Chinese bank A-shares with larger index weights and higher dividend yields, including ICBC, ABC, BOC, and CMB, are likely to benefit from incremental buying. However, their H-share peers may also benefit indirectly as the dividend yield of Chinese bank H-shares is higher and more attractive than that of A-shares. AAStocks Financial News |
