Chinese regulators encouraged the injection of long-term capital into A-shares, with a target of increasing the number of A-shares held in circulation by public funds by 10% annually, and encouraged large state-owned insurers to invest 30% of their new premiums in the stock market, CLSA released a research report saying.

CLSA also expected A-shares to maintain ints uptrend until the “Two Sessions” in March, and saw high-yield stocks as the main beneficiaries of the new capital inflows, among which brokers should benefit.

Among Chinese banks, CLSA's top picks are ICBC (01398.HK) and CCB (00939.HK). Among Chinese brokers, the broker was bullish on CGS (06881.HK) and GF SEC (01776.HK).
