IDC: Apple's iPhone Still No. 2 by CN Mkt Shr in 3Q, but Sales Dip 0.3% YoY

Smartphone deliveries in China advanced 3.2% YoY to 68.78 million units in 3Q, according to data research firm IDC. Vivo ranked first with an 18.6% market share, while Apple (A APL.US) and Huawei ranked second and third with market shares of 15.6% and 15.3% respectively. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and Honor each had more than 14% market share. IDC also pointed out that Vivo and Xiaomi's handset deliveries mounted 21.5% and 12.8% YoY during the quarter, while Huawei's rose 42% YoY and Apple's fell 0.3% YoY. With the increase in promotions in the subsequent market and the launch of the Apple Vision Pro, market demand for the upcoming Apple iPhone 16 series is expected to gradually arise.
