CHINA TELECOM (00728.HK) recently announced the successful candidate for its centralized procurement of servers (2024-2025), with LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) being shortlisted for several contracts, Chinese media reported. LENOVO GROUP ranked first in the general-purpose server (A series) tender and third in the C86 server (G series) tender, seizing a total of more than RMB1.2 billion in orders and achieving a historic breakthrough, becoming a mainstream supplier of servers to CHINA TELECOM. Previously, LENOVO GROUP had won the server procurement orders of China Unicom and CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK), becoming one of the mainstream suppliers of computing infrastructure for the three major Chinese telecoms.
