Six Chinese government units, including the Foshan Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, jointly issued a notice to further optimize certain measures for the stable and healthy development of the real estate market. The notice clearly stipulated that restrictive policies on housing transactions are abolished. Households are no longer subject to restrictions on the number of years they can wait before they can sell newly built commodity housing they have purchased in Zumiao Street of Chancheng District, Guicheng Street of Nanhai District and Daliang Street of Shunde District. Commodity housing can be listed for sale from the date of obtaining the real estate ownership certificate.

At the same time, the combination of urban village reconstruction and the sale of existing commercial housing is supported; the acquisition and resettlement of existing commercial housing is optimized; and taxes and fees are reduced. Also, it is permissible to list and circulate self-owned commodity housing, optimize planning scheme adjustments, refine land supply quality, improve housing supply structure, better parking space construction requirements and sales policies, increase provident fund support for home purchases, abolish the standards for ordinary and non-ordinary residences, and regulate real estate agency services.
