JD LOGISTICS Beefs up Capacity for Double 11, Hikes HK/ MO Deliverymen to 500

JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK)'s JD Express made its foray into the Hong Kong market one year ago. Ma Wei, General Manager of JD Logistics Express Business Hong Kong, revealed that the average daily number of orders received and delivered in Hong Kong leaped 24 times, the number of orders sent between Hong Kong and Macau soared 65 times, the volume of orders sent between the mainland and Hong Kong rallied 16 times, and the average daily volume of orders received and delivered in Macau shot up 14 times.

To ensure service efficiency during the Double 11 period, JD LOGISTICS nearly doubled its capacity in advance, and the number of delivery staff in Hong Kong and Macau increased to nearly 500. The company reached a strategic cooperation with Hongkong Post, under which, users can choose to pick up their mail at 119 local post offices and 162 iPostal Stations in Hong Kong when they use JD Express to send express mail from the mainland to Hong Kong or when shopping, starting next Wednesday (23rd). This is expected to help improve the convenience and efficiency of express delivery and self-pickup services.
