Tmall’s Double 11 Presales Begin; 6 Sports & Outdoor Brands Log RMB100M+ Turnover in 1st Hr

Tmall’s Double 11 Shopping Festival officially kicked off. Within the first hour of presales in the sports and outdoor segment, six brands tracked turnover of more than RMB100 million, and 32 popular items had turnover of more than RMB10 million.

Sports and outdoor brands hailed exponential growth. Among them, 44 brands, including KOLON SPORT, TREK and Pioneer Camp, exceled their first-day sales from last year. The sales of the star product Adidas 600-fill down jacket broke the RMB100 million mark as soon as it went on sale.

The overall performance of cycling brands was particularly outstanding, with sales growth of more than 40% across all categories and sales growth of more than 80% for complete bicycles.

In addition, global brands flocked to station at Tmall ahead of Double 11, with more than 1,700 overseas merchants opening stores on Tmall Global for the first time in mainland China.
