SH Catering Consumption In Double-digit Growth During National Day Holiday; BJ Sales of Dept Stores, Caterers RMB7B+

People's Daily learnt from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce that Shanghai's online and offline consumption amounted to RMB67.6 billion from 30 September to 6 October, up 3.2% YoY, according to data from the Big Data Laboratory of Consumer Market (Shanghai).

Specifically, the total offline footfall of stores in 36 key business districts reached 34.49 million, up 9.8% YoY, while 25 business districts recorded growth in footfall. 16 business districts, including Middle Huaihai Road, Zhenru and North Bund, recorded a YoY growth of over 10% in footfall.

During the National Day holiday, Shanghai's offline catering consumption amounted to RMB8 billion, representing a double-digit YoY incline.

During the period, the sales of department stores, supermarkets, caterers and e-commerce firms monitored by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce amounted to RMB7.06 billion. Passenger flow in the 60 key business districts of Beijing was 45.73 million, up 19.7% YoY.
