The EU voted to impose tariffs of up to 45% on EVs from China. China's retaliatory tariffs could harm European carmakers' interest, and believed that the EU should consider adjusting tariffs for Chinese automakers investing in Europe, Oliver Blume, CEO of Volkswagen, said. Instead of punitive tariffs, the EU tariffs should be a mutual incentive for investments, and those who invest, create jobs and work with local companies should benefit from the tariffs, Blume added.
