In an interview with Reforma, Jorge Vallejo, Director General of BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)'s Mexico, said that the Company is seeking the Mexican government's extension of tariff relief for imported EVs.

Vallejo hoped that the local government would consider the fact that the Company is investing in a factory there and extend the concession.

The Company offered a number of plans, including the application of no tariff, and that the Company was still waiting for a response from the new government after it takes a position, Vallejo added.
