Regarding the first anti-discrimination investigation on Canada's restrictive measures against China, He Yongqian, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM), said that Canada adopted discriminatory unilateral restrictive measures against imports from China, despite oppositions and dissuasions from all parties.

In accordance with Article 36 and Article 37 of the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, China initiated an anti-discrimination investigation into the relevant restrictive measures taken by Canada.
