Deloitte maintained its forecast of 80 IPOs and $60-80 billion in capital raised in Hong Kong for this year. Edward Au, Deloitte China Southern Region Managing Partner, said that 4-5 IPOs are still in the queuing line with a capital raising scale of more than US$5-10 billion this year. Cautiously optimistic about Hong Kong's IPO market in 2024, he assumed that the upper limit of the forecast can be reached if market conditions are favorable.

Au also pointed out that economic stimulus measures are short-term and have a more obvious effect on improving the liquidity of the secondary market. However, he suggested that the IPO market is still contingent on the fundamentals of the company and the overall market valuation.
