At Least 60 Companies Terminate Contracts With PwC Over Six Months

According to Chinese media reports, between March 18 and September 13, at least 60 companies terminated contracts with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) due to the Evergrande audit scandal, including 36 A-share listed companies, 7 Hong Kong-listed companies, 16 fund companies, and one unlisted company.

15 of PwC's clients have switched to Ernst & Young, including CHINA CINDA (01359.HK), COSMO LADY (02298.HK), TONG REN TANG (01666.HK), and TONGRENTANGCM (03613.HK). Nine clients, including CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK), have moved to KPMG. Seven clients, including BEIJING AIRPORT (00694.HK), have been taken on by Deloitte.

In addition to the three accounting firms, China's firms have taken on a total of 10 PwC clients, with COUNTRY GARDEN (02007.HK) appointing ZHONGHUI ANDA as its new auditor.
