CN Aug Crude Oil Production in Industrial Enterprises Above Designated Size Up 2.1% YoY

In August, raw coal, crude oil, natural gas, and electricity production in industries above a designated size in China grew steadily, the National Bureau of Statistics announced. In August, raw coal production in industrial enterprises above designated size reached 400 million tons, a YoY rise of 2.8%, with the same growth rate as in July. Imported coal was 45.84 million tons, a YoY hike of 3.4%. In 8M24, raw coal production by industrial enterprises above designated size was 3.05 billion tons, a YoY drop of 0.3%. Imported coal was 340 million tons, a YoY increase of 11.8%.

Crude oil production gained stably. In August, crude oil production in industrial enterprises above designated size reached 17.83 million tons, a YoY growth of 2.1%; the average daily output was 575,000 tons. Crude oil imports reached 49.1 million tons, a YoY fall of 7%. In 8M24, crude oil production in industrial enterprises above designated size was nearly 143 million tons, a YoY increase of 2.1%. Crude oil imports were nearly 367 million tons, a YoY decrease of 3.1%.
