In response to rumors of a stranger's voice being transmitted through the Xiaomi Smart Camera 2 Pan-Tilt Edition, a spokesperson for XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) clarified that the product shown in the related video, according to user-provided access record screenshots, had no access during the corresponding period.

The camera's firmware includes an Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) feature, which filters out sounds emitted by the camera's speaker when captured by the camera's microphone. Consequently, during the intercom process between the camera and the phone, the sound played by the camera's speaker is not recorded or stored. If the sound originates from the device itself, it will not be recorded in the playback monitoring video.

In addition, the camera and its associated network services have not been subjected to a cyberattack, and any unauthorized individuals or devices cannot engage in voice communication with the camera.

After communication, XIAOMI-W has obtained user consent to retrieve the device for testing. The current state of the device is normal, and further testing will be conducted.
