French video game maker UbiSoft Entertainment (UBSFY.US)      announced on Thursday (27th) that it spun off a subsidiary valued at about EUR4 billion (US$4.3 billion), with TENCENT (00700.HK)  -6.200 (-1.230%)    Short selling $1.96B; Ratio 13.546%   spending EUR1.16 billion to acquire a 25% stake in the subsidiary, which holds IP series including Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.

TENCENT is pleased to expand its long-term partnership with Ubisoft through this investment, reflecting its continued confidence in Ubisoft's creative vision and outstanding talent, Liu Chiping, President of TENCENT, said.
