Panamanian President Jose Raul Mulino noted that he did not place any value on the reports that the US military is studying options to ensure full US use of the Panama Canal as these reports lacked sources, Reuters reported. Mulino added that if no one is named in such claims, they hold no value to him. Earlier, Reuters had quoted sources reporting that the US Department of Defense had been instructed to evaluate related options. Regarding CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK) agreeing to sell most of its global port operations, including assets in Panama, to a consortium led by BlackRock (BLK), Mulino remarked that as of what he knew up to yesterday's (20th) morning, the deal was progressing slowly.
