The Hong Kong stock market reversed its six-day rally with the HSI opening down 149 points this morning and breaking below the 21,000 mark in early trading. It is now at an immediate market bottom of 20,963, down 502 points or 2.3%, underperforming major regional markets on a turnover of $96.389 billion. Meanwhile, the HSTECH is now down 210 points or 4.2% at 4,770.

MEITUAN-W (03690.HK)  +1.600 (+1.186%)    Short selling $872.26M; Ratio 11.443%   opened 2.5% lower. It last printed at $136.2, down 7.2%, making it the worst-performing blue-chip stock on a turnover of $4.889 billion. Other heavyweight tech stocks were also under pressure.
