JPM Model: Russell 2000 Index Shows ~80% Chance of US Recession

JPMorgan's recession indicator shows that the Russell 2000 Index, which is closely related to the US economy, now reflects a 79% probability of a recession in the US, while a moderate recession scenario is nearly 100% priced in, according to foreign media.

Other asset classes also sent warnings, JPMorgan added. The S&P 500 indicates a 62% chance of a recession, while base metals show a 68% chance and 5-year US treasuries correspond to a 54% chance.
