China is rapidly gaining a dominant position in the biotech field, and that the US risks being permanently left behind if it does not take action in the next 3 years, calling on the US Congress to invest at least US$15 billion in the next 5 years in support of biotech research and support the US manufacturing sector, meanwhile prohibiting US firms from collaborating with Chinese biotech suppliers, the US National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology issued a report saying.
