Regarding AI agents in plant settings, Zhang Xiaoyi, Vice President and CDO of MIDEA GROUP (00300.HK)  +0.450 (+0.653%)    Short selling $25.77M; Ratio 9.913%   , revealed that the group has already deployed over 10 AI agents across various process stages in Midea's plants, Chinese media reported.

These agents focus on different process stages and can automatically interface with each other, according to Zhang. For instance, once the quality control agent sets the quality standards, the process parameter agent can automatically adjust parameters to meet quality requirements.

Zhang has also revealed that the group is constructing an AI agent middle office. It plans to systemize and institutionalize this agent middle office within two to three years, making it an industry-level agent middle office for industrial manufacturing.
