Zhong Zheng, a deputy to the National People's Congress as well as vice president and CFO of MIDEA GROUP (00300.HK)  -3.650 (-4.765%)    Short selling $155.54M; Ratio 11.600%   , said during the Two Sessions that the company is focusing on collaborative robots, while independently developing industrial autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and venturing into the field of key components for humanoid robots, according to the China Securities Journal. In the future, MIDEA GROUP will strive to accelerate the design and development of humanoid robot bodies.

Regarding the active deployment in humanoid robots, Zhong disclosed that MIDEA GROUP commenced several years ago the R&D of key components of humanoid robots, such as joints, sensors, and controls.
