It has already been one year since EVERGRANDE (03333.HK)  0.000 (0.000%)   was ordered into liquidation by the Hong Kong court, yet creditors have not received any payments.

Oaktree Capital is attempting to recover EVERGRANDE's assets outside the Hong Kong liquidation process, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

It is understood that Oaktree Capital has appointed its own liquidator to pursue EVERGRANDE's offshore subsidiaries that directly hold more assets. If successful, this could give Oaktree Capital an advantage in negotiations related to the assets, still it may also lead to conflicts with the liquidator appointed by the Hong Kong court for EVERGRANDE.
