BLACK SESAME (02533.HK)  +0.340 (+1.876%)    Short selling $2.72M; Ratio 1.014%   's positive profit alert stimulated its stock price to open 5.31% higher today (18th) and hit a peak of $27.65. It last traded at $27.6, up 8.66%, on a volume of 8.0765 million shares, involving $218 million.

BLACK SESAME anticipated revenue of around RMB450-500 million for 2024, marking a YoY growth of about 44-60%. It also predicted its net profit to be no less than RMB100 million, whereas the year 2023 reported a net loss of around RMB4.855 billion.

Such expected growth was mainly attributable to an increase in revenue from autonomous driving products and solutions resulting from the continuous export of chips and solutions by the group to leading domestic automotive OEMs (including BYD, Dongfeng, and Geely) and tier 1 suppliers.
