CATHAY PAC AIR (00293.HK)  -0.330 (-3.223%)    Short selling $9.02M; Ratio 16.154%   has kicked off a bidding process for dozens of new wide-body aircrafts, and sent request for proposal (RFP) to Boeing (BA.US)      and Airbus SE for jet to be delivered in the next decade, Bloomberg quoted sources as saying.

CATHAY PAC AIR did not respond directly to the reports, but reiterated the Group's commitment to Hong Kong and investment in new aircraft.
