Hong Kong bourse opened higher in the half-day trade today on the last trading day of the Year of the Dragon. The HSI opened higher by 139 points, or 0.7%, at 20,337; the HSCEI opened higher by 46 points, or 0.6%, at 7,428; and the HSTECH opened higher by 36 points, or 0.8%, at 4,723.

Technology infrastructure and hardware stocks were depressed. GDS-SW (09698.HK)  -1.800 (-7.912%)    Short selling $37.72M; Ratio 47.528%   slid 7.7%. KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK)  -0.190 (-3.094%)    Short selling $57.87M; Ratio 27.726%   and ZTE (00763.HK)  +0.150 (+0.557%)    Short selling $61.19M; Ratio 31.168%   dived 3.1% and 2.8%, respectively. SMIC (00981.HK)  -0.150 (-0.393%)    Short selling $209.38M; Ratio 15.003%   plunged 2.5% at $37.2.

Chinese property developer CHINA VANKE (02202.HK)  +0.120 (+2.120%)    Short selling $63.62M; Ratio 22.670%   was expected to turn from profit to loss last year of RMB45 billion, and transferred 49% of the income rights and management company equity of the Mangrove Bay project to Shenzhen Metro Group. The stock rallied 8.7% at $6.15.
