Pony AI (PONY.US)      's application for an autonomous driving license in Hong Kong is still in a state of stagnation, and it has not yet been granted an autonomous driving license by the Transport Department of Hong Kong, Chinese media quoted sources earlier as saying.

In an interview with Hong Kong media, Mo Luyi, Vice President of Pony AI, said that the Company is still waiting for the Hong Kong government's approval. Although there are no key technological barriers to the development of autonomous driving, the Company still needs to solve the problems of public acceptance, policies & regulations and industry development.

In addition, the Company planned to march into Hong Kong, including the provision of unmanned commuter services for airport staff at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), and to gradually expand its service to the urban areas subsequently.
