Zhong Shanshan, founder of NONGFU SPRING (09633.HK)  -0.750 (-2.155%)    Short selling $64.77M; Ratio 39.084%   , remarked that the low prices on the internet are destroying China's quality and economy as price is the life of a product rather than a mere number, Chinese media reported.

Low prices cannot breed high-quality products, Zhong emphasized. High-quality industries, society, and living standards will not exist without high-quality products. Globalization should not be about low prices.

If there is sufficient technology, advancement, and innovation, Zhong believed that there is no need for price wars. Price wars are the easiest type of war to fight and are a sign of incompetence, and NONGFU SPRING will absolutely not engage in price wars.
