Xie Cun, Director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT), said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that the number of 5G base stations in China reached 4.25 million, and the number of Gigabit users exceeded 200 million, realizing “Gigabit in every county and 5G in every village”.

The number of standard racks in use in computing power centers surpassed 8.8 million, while the scale of computing power increased by 16.5% compared with end-2023.
