A UK court has approved JLL to continue managing 33 luxury apartments in London owned by Ding Yumei, the former wife of Evergrande's co-founder Hui Ka Yan, The Financial Times reported.

Previously, Ding's assets were frozen after Evergrande was ordered to liquidate, and her ex-husband Hui was also detained for alleged involvement in illegal activities. Ding is reportedly residing in one of the luxury homes.

After appointing liquidators to recover funds for Evergrande's investors, judges in the UK and Hong Kong approved last year an injunction to freeze Ding's global assets, according to the report. In addition, JLL informed the London court that it was no longer willing to manage the involved properties without explicit permission. JLL has now won this legal case.
