Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport announced that its fourth runway will be officially opened next Thursday (23rd), making it the only airport in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area with 4 runways.

After the opening of the fourth runway, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is expected to record an average daily air traffic movements of 1,546 during the 2025 Spring Festival, representing a significant increase from 2024.
