Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) aims to obtain European certification as early as this year, and operate flights of the C919 passenger jet in Southeast Asia by 2026, Chinese media quoted Yang Yang, Vice President of COMAC Marketing and Sales Center, as saying.

Yang also wanted mainland China to bring more C919 airliners into operation and to thoroughly determine any potential issues before bringing the C919 to Southeast Asia.
