In view of the persistent inflation and the increasing demand for higher insurance coverage from policyholders, the Insurance Complaints Bureau (ICB) of Hong Kong announced the increase in its jurisdiction limit from HK$1.2 million to HK$1.5 million with effect from 1 January 2025. This means that the ICB will be able to deal with complaint cases with claims/ disputes amounting to as much as HK$1.5 million.
