C.C. Wei, Chairman and CEO of TSMC (TSM.US)      , said at a conference that the growing demand for hardware and software integration fueled the next-generation AI devices, while multi-functional robot is a key direction for the future, according to Chinese media.

When he talked to the world's richest man a few days ago, he mentioned that multi-functional robots are the direction to work on, rather than cars, Wei said. Although Wei didn't mention the name of the person he talked to, the market speculated that he was the world's richest man and CEO of Tesla (TSLA.US)      , Elon Musk.
