NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK)  -0.130 (-2.416%)    Short selling $14.13M; Ratio 26.910%   recently sent a letter to banks seeking a waiver for breaching financial covenants due to a net debt-to-asset ratio exceeding 100%, according to a Debtwire report cited by Hong Kong Economic Journal.

After plummeting by 6.1% yesterday (16th), NEW WORLD DEV continued to drop by 2.4% this morning (17th), hitting a more than 20-year low of $5.58 before the decline slowed. It last printed at $5.69, down 0.524%, on a turnover of around $30.9 million.
