The Central Economic Working Conference was held from 11 to 12 December in Beijing. Chinese President/ general secretary of the CPC Central Committee/ Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi Jinping, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech.

The meeting proposed that technological innovation will lead the development of new quality productive forces and the construction of a modernized industrial system.
