A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) responded to questions about the U.S. announcement of semiconductor export control measures by the U.S., stating that China has taken note of the announcement.

The spokesman pointed out that the abuse of control measures by the U.S. seriously impeded the normal economic and trade exchanges among countries, heavily undermined the market rules and the international economic and trade order, and severely threatened the stability of the global industrial supply chain. China will take necessary measures to adamantly safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
