Hong Kong stocks opened higher but trended downward today (25th). The HSI ended the day down 78 points or 0.4% at 19,150. The HSCEI dropped 24 points or 0.4% to close at 6,862. The HSTECH slipped 10 points or 0.3%, closing at 4,235. The total market turnover for the day amounted to $183.258 billion.

KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK)  +0.200 (+0.428%)    Short selling $98.20M; Ratio 20.961%   and NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK)  -0.350 (-0.758%)    Short selling $8.97M; Ratio 18.218%   are set to join the HSI family, with effect from December 9 (Monday). KUAISHOU-W and NEW ORIENTAL-S climbed 4.5% and 3.9% respectively. NEW ORIENTAL-S' same series EAST BUY (01797.HK)  -0.400 (-2.725%)    Short selling $10.14M; Ratio 10.547%   was speculated higher by 9%.

NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK)  +0.110 (+1.637%)    Short selling $10.06M; Ratio 35.238%   , which was removed from the blue chips, tumbled 4.3%. Among stocks whose weightings in the index increased, BABA-W (09988.HK)  +1.050 (+1.260%)    Short selling $178.26M; Ratio 13.852%   hiked 1.5%, while TENCENT (00700.HK)  +5.400 (+1.371%)    Short selling $127.35M; Ratio 5.595%   and HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK)  +0.150 (+0.210%)    Short selling $55.91M; Ratio 19.964%   dipped 1.3% and 0.2% respectively. The HSCEI will add PICC P&C (02328.HK)  +0.020 (+0.168%)    Short selling $9.21M; Ratio 12.290%   and delete LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK)  +0.080 (+0.759%)    Short selling $8.33M; Ratio 14.110%   . PICC P&C (02328.HK)  +0.020 (+0.168%)    Short selling $9.21M; Ratio 12.290%   advanced 1.7%, while LONGFOR GROUP, which retained its blue-chip status, faded 1.5% along with other Chinese developers. The HSTECH will include MIDEA GROUP (00300.HK)  +0.700 (+1.000%)    Short selling $64.01M; Ratio 38.738%   and exclude WB-SW (09898.HK)  +1.200 (+1.690%)    Short selling $509.02K; Ratio 26.640%   . MIDEA GROUP rallied 4.3%, while WB-SW ascended 1.7%.
