He Hailin, a person in charge of the Bureau of Operation Monitoring and Coordination of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), said at a regular briefing on State Council's policies held by the State Council Information Office that the MIIT would vigorously develop digital trade and green trade, study and introduce action plans for digital transformation of the manufacturing industry and the promotion of new industrialization of AI empowerment, and build a batch of smart factories and smart supply chains, vigorously developing intelligent logistics equipment and promoting cross-border e-commerce rules that are on par with the international standards in areas such as data flow, commodity traceability and electronic signatures, so as to expand the new space for digital trade.
