The US presidential election vote counting has begun. As the "Trump Trade" is heating up, the DJIA futures last rocketed 495 points, or nearly 1.2%, to 42,876. The S&P 500 futures hiked 66 points, or nearly 1.2%, to 5,879. The Nasdaq futures surged 233 points, or nearly 1.2%, to 20,574. The Russell 2000 futures, an important indicator of the "Trump Trade", shot up 2.8% to 2,337.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is estimated to have secured 198 electoral votes, significantly more than Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris' 99 electoral votes, according to the latest data from the Associated Press. In Pennsylvania, a key swing state with 19 electoral votes, the counted ballots show a fierce competition with both sides each obtaining 49.2% of the votes.

Trump stated on his social platform TRUTH Social that he has information about "massive fraud" in the Pennsylvania election, and that law enforcement agencies have been sent to investigate these reports. Trump also stated that he will concede defeat if he loses fairly.

According to CoinDesk data, Bitcoin last printed at a new high of US$74,690, surging 9.8% over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the HSI opened 1% lower this morning. It last plunged 607 points, or 2.8%, to 20,399, with a turnover of $86.89 billion.
