Nvidia (NVDA.US)      closed up another 2.8% on Tuesday to US$139.91, giving it a market cap of US$3.43 trillion and making it the world's second-most valuable listed company after Apple (AAPL.US)      .

Apple ended up 0.7% at US$223.45, with a market cap of about US$3.4 trillion. Nvidia had previously surpassed Apple in June, and its stock price subsequently declined over the summer. Microsoft (MSFT.US)      ranked third, with a market cap of nearly US$3.1 trillion.
