Nvidia (NVDA.US)      is in talks with Elon Musk's AI company xAI about participating in its latest round of financing, which values the latter at around US$45 billion, multiple foreign news agencies reported. xAI had captured US$6 billion at a valuation of US$24 billion five months ago.

Rumors had previously circulated that xAI was in talks with a number of investors with the goal of raising billions of US dollars at a valuation of around US$40 billion. Venture capital firms including Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz and Vy Capital participated in the latest financing negotiations.
