The 12th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress was held in Beijing to review the draft pre-school education law and the revised draft cultural relics protection law, according to a report by the Xinhua News Agency.

The meeting reviewed the State Council's proposal to increase the debt limit of local governments to replace the existing hidden debts. Entrusted by the State Council, Lan Fo'an, Minister of Finance, gave a presentation.
