TSMC has suspended shipments to Chinese chip designer, Sophgo, after Huawei's AI processors were found to be using TSMC's (TSM.US)      chips, as Sophgo intended to order chips for Huawei, Reuters quoted sources as saying.

In a statement on its website, Sophgo said that it complied with all laws and had never had a business relationship with Huawei, emphasizing that the company is affiliated with cryptocurrency mining equipment company Bitmain. It had provided TSMC with a detailed investigation report to prove that it was not related to Huawei.
