Wang Haifeng, CTO of BIDU-SW (09888.HK)  -1.950 (-2.198%)    Short selling $161.70M; Ratio 19.389%   (BIDU.US)      and the director of the National Engineering Research Center of Deep Learning Technology and Application, said at the 2024 World Science and Technology Development Forum (WSTDF 2024) that the law of scale for agent technology will still be valid in the future, and that higher-quality and larger-scale data and larger models will bring stronger capabilities.

There is still room for improvement in large language models (LLM), while multi-modal unified foundation models will become more durable, Wang added. The increasing maturity and lower threshold of agent technology will lead to an explosion of foundation model applications.
