Apple (AAPL.US)      CEO Tim Cook appeared at a farm in Beijing yesterday (22nd) to engage with Chinese university students, according to media reports.

Cook wrote in his post on Weibo that Apple is committed to empowering communities and creating opportunities, and he was delighted to meet with students from China Agricultural University and Zhejiang University and learn how they helped farmers promote more efficient and sustainable agricultural practices using iPhones and iPads.

Cook also mentioned that he met with customers and the team at the Apple retail store in Beijing's Wangfujing. This marks Cook's second visit to China this year, with the previous visit in March when a new Apple retail store was opened in Shanghai.
