The 2024 Global Smart Logistics Summit was held at Cainiao's headquarters campus, which was divided into four themes: “New Future of Cross-border E-commerce”, “Overseas Localization Opportunities”, “Supply Chain Resilient Growth”, and “Technology Creates Future”, Chinese media reported.

Joseph Tsai, Chairman of BABA-W (09988.HK)  +1.500 (+1.750%)    Short selling $1.74B; Ratio 16.207%   (BABA.US)      and Chairman of Cainiao, hinted that Alibaba will encourage and motivate Cainiao to face the open market and build up a logistics network to serve the needs of diversified customers while serving Alibaba's e-commerce, and it is committed to becoming a common infrastructure for global business partners.

Tsai remarked out that the future of digital logistics should focus on grasping the opportunities entailed by the new globalization and the explosion of AI technology, not only to establish cross-border e-commerce and logistics channels, but also to adapt to the global industrial layout, and construct a global logistics network that serves the future industrial chain and supply chain.
