Apple (AAPL.US)      unveiled the iPhone 16 with Apple Intelligence at a press conference, with the price starting at US$799, and US$899 for the iPhone 16 Plus, which will be available for order in the U.S. starting Monday and in Hong Kong not until Friday. Apple's share price struggled and softened, down more than 1% in the latest printing.

The iPhone 16 is equipped with the A18 chip, which uses 3-nm technology and four efficiency cores. The A18 chip is 40% faster than the one used in the iPhone 15 and 60% faster than the one used in the iPhone 12. The iPhone 16 is 6.1 inches and the iPhone 16 Plus is 6.7 inches.

Apple pointed out that Apple Intelligence will launch the iPhone 16 beta first in the U.S. in October, followed by Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK in December, and will only begin to launch in China, France, Japan, Spain and other places in 2025. Apple Intelligence will be available on the new iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
