The Observatory announced that Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 has been issued at 12:40 p.m. to replace the No. 8 Northeast Gale or Storm Signal. This means that winds with mean speeds of 41 to 62 kilometres per hour are expected.

The Observatory cautioned that strong winds are still blowing and precautions should not be relaxed. It is not yet safe for small vessels to leave typhoon shelters.
