Hui Ching Lau, executive director and CEO of HENGAN INT'L (01044.HK)  +0.850 (+3.400%)    Short selling $16.85M; Ratio 16.282%   , said at the interim results press conference that not only the Chinese market, but also the global market is facing the problem of industrial “involution”. However, Hui believed that in the face of intense competition in the industry and declining personal consumption, HENGAN INT'L still has opportunities to develop in the high, medium, and low category markets across China.

In addition, Li Wai Leung, executive director and CFO of HENGAN INT'L, predicted that the group will reduce expenses, continue to raise the proportion of high-end products, and improve sales performance to offset the impact of wood pulp prices rising in 2H24 on its GPM. Meanwhile, the group's revenue is also expected to improve in 2H24 as compared to 1H24.
